New M-28 Lane Markings in the City of Munising
The four lanes of M-28 running through Munising has recently been altered in preparation for a future traffic light at the Elm Ave./M-28 intersection. There are now only three lanes from H-58 to the west end of town on M-28, one running east, one running west and a turn lane in the center. South of the H-58 intersection, where M-28 makes a 90 degree turn, the four-lane section is changed to one southbound lane, a center left-turn and one northbound right-turn-only lane.
